Engine and Performance
The fully electric vehicle is anticipated to have two models, a rear-wheel drive and an all-wheel drive. On the one hand, the RWD will have a single electric motor generating up to 201 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque.
On the other hand, the AWD model is expected to have a dual motor with horsepower and torque of 295 hp and 339 lb-ft, respectively.
The battery is mounted with a 77 kWh pack that can be charged using a DC fast charger from 5% to 80% in 30 minutes. Moreover, you can expect an electric range of 415 km on a fully charged battery.
The engine is expected to perform a 0-100 km/h in just over 10.2 seconds, with a maximum towing capacity of 1,000 kg.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The vast interior fits all your travels and outdoor activities, and you can host up to seven riders in a three-rowed cabin. You’ll find multiple storage options once you open the sliding door and recline the rear seats, yielding 1,132 L cargo space.
There are several pockets between seats for extra storage options, with foldable tables and a removable centre console. In addition, the front seaters will enjoy the captain chairs with massage options.
The van is accessible with sliding doors from both sides and may include configurable interior lights.
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
On the front, you’ll find a 10-inch infotainment screen with the option to upgrade to a 12 inches one. The touchscreen is expected to embed Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to connect your phone.
Besides that, you can expect a Wi-Fi hotspot and a wireless phone charging zone to keep up your devices charged.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Like all Volkwagens’ automobiles, you can’t expect a compromise on safety technology. The new 2024 ID.Buzz is predicted to have a self-parking feature with multiple memory options.
Other safety features will include a forward-collision warning that notifies you if you’re approaching an object in front of you. The system may apply emergency brakes to avoid accidents.
