Performance and Driveability
There are two different engines available for the 2023 Atlas Cross Sport: 2.0L TSI and 3.6L. This lineup has four models, with torque capacities ranging between 258 and 266 lb-ft, putting out 235 hp and 276 hp, respectively. Its exclusive 4Motion All-Wheel Drive considerably improves driveability under poor weather conditions.
All options have an eight-speed automatic transmission equipped with Tiptronic 4Motion. The combined fuel efficiency of all trims ranges between 10.9L/100km and 11.7L/100km. The 2.0L TSI engine does 11.8L/100km in the city and 9.8L/100km on the highway. While the 3.6L engine does 13.1L/100km in the city and 10L/100km on the highway. This SUV has a towing capacity of 2,268kg with the 3.6L engine and 907kg with the 2.0L engine.
Interior and Exterior
All seats are covered with cloth upholstery. For an additional fee, it’s possible to choose one of the eight colours available. All models come with heated front and back seats as options for the higher trims. All surfaces are covered in leatherette. There’s leather upholstery available for higher trims. The flagship model also has interior ambient lighting and a multi-function steering wheel.
The new Atlas is a pretty big and spacious SUV, with 496.6cm of length, 224.9cm of width, 172.3cm of height, and 298cm of wheelbase. Standard options include 45.72cm alloy wheels, LED headlights, poor weather lights, heated exterior mirrors, privacy glass, and roof rails. Higher models come with a panoramic sunroof, and chrome window surrounds.
Tech and Safety
All models are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Basic trims come with a 16.51cm touchscreen, with an optional 20.32cm for higher levels. Trims above Comfortline also come with SiriusXM satellite radio, Volkswagen Car-Net, remote start, and emergency call service. The Digital Cockpit Pro helps you navigate to your next destination. There are USB ports available for both the front and back seats.
All trims come equipped with over 10 driving assists, which include hill hold and hill descend assists, electronic parking brake, rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, and others. Higher trims come with Area View 360-degrees, dynamic road sign display, and adaptive cruise control.
